Itinerary
The Historical Park is an ideal site for ecological and archaeological tourism in Guayaquil. Where you can enter the lush greenery of the forest and walk along a wooden path that crosses it. A place away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where the natural and the urban combine into a single concept.
It is a fascinating window to wildlife, as well as to the architecture and history of Ecuador. It was created by the Central Bank to preserve the culture and customs of Guayaquil and the coastal region.
The adventure begins when they pick you up at your hotel in the morning, to take you directly to the Historical Park. This park has 8 hectares and is divided into three large areas: the Endangered Wildlife Zone, which has more than 50 species of birds, animals and reptiles in a semi-natural habitat. Here you will appreciate the different mangrove varieties and the important role they play in the biological cycles of the region. Along the route you will make some stops that will allow you to better appreciate the different species of flora and fauna of the park.
As for the Urban Architecture Zone, it will show you the development of architecture, with reconstructed and restored buildings from the early twentieth century in Guayaquil. And the Traditions Zone is centered, as the name implies, in local traditions, in rural customs, crafts, and agriculture. If you plan to go on a weekend, you can enjoy a musical show with couplets, amorfinos, and music by "Los Compadres", which will allow you in an entertaining way, to get to know the customs and traditions of coastal farmers.
Visit the famous Historical Park and spend an incredible day between the nature and history of Ecuador.
