On the verge of its premiere in Brazilian theaters, the hype caused by the "Rio, Eu Te Amo" movie takes over the city. From September 5th until the 28th, 10 carioca restaurants include tributes to Rio de Janeiro in their menus, declaring their love for the Marvellous City and the art of cinema. For the "Rio, Eu Te Amo" Menu, some emblematic places in Rio, from haute cuisine restaurants to more traditional branches of juice shops, created delights inspired in the love stories of the movie, which premiers on Sept 11th in theaters. You can try the delicious outcome in Boteco D.O.C, Bibi Sucos, Meza Bar, Paris Bar, Complex Esquina 111, Sá, Albamar, Cais Gourmet, Cafeína and Pavelka-Deli43. [caption id="attachment_1955" align="aligncenter" width="610"]Restaurants In Rio "La Fortuna" and "O Milagre" | Photo by Carolina Vianna[/caption] The restaurant, in Copacabana, created a dish as luxurious as the history of Italian Paolo Sorrentino, "La Fortuna", which combines a succulent grouper confit with mujol caviar vinaigrette, creamed spinach and a potato milfoil (R$ 85), while the traditional restaurant Albamar, overlooking the Guanabara Bay, honors the story of John Turturro, which takes place in the Paquetá Island, with a Seafood dish that offers shrimp, squid, crayfish and grouper slices garnished with Moroccan couscous (R$ 140, serves two). Nearby, at Cais Gourmet, chef Eduardo Castro makes use of an intense boneless lamb leg, which comes to the table alongside a Moroccan couscous and fresh yogurt cream, dedicated to Lebanese film director Nadine Labaki and her story "O Milagre" (The Miracle). A bologna sandwich is what " Dona Fula” (Mrs. Jane Doe), the character played by Fernanda Montenegro in the story by Andrucha Waddington, likes to eat the most. To honor her, the Pavelka-Deli43, with places in downtown Rio and Leblon, made ​​its version with a sandwich generously stuffed with bologna, grilled minas cheese and homemade honey mustard (R$ 15.90)​​. Awarded bartender Alex Mosque, from Paris Bar, makes use of the delicate and complex "Pas de Deux" (R$ 28, which includes Bombay Sapphire Gin, Carpano Punt and Mes Vermouth, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur and Orange Bitter, decorated with two Amarena cherries), in honor of the poetic story of Carlos Saldanha, which takes places in the Municipal Theater. In the trendy Complex Esquina 111, in Ipanema, chef Fabio Battistella signed a drink inspired by the paragliding ride of Wagner Moura in the story of José Padilha, “Inútil Paisagem” (Useless Scenery), composed of Bombay Sapphire Gin, lemon juice, limes, orange and tonic (R$ 25). The tribute to the Sugar Loaf, setting of the story "Acho que Estou Apaixonado” (I think I'm In Love), from Australian Stephan Elliott, is in the hands of Cafeína, which portraits its version of the famous tourist spot as a sweet bread stuffed with dulce de leche and covered with grated coconut (R$ 8).
