Atacameños in Chile
The indigenous peoples recognized in Chile are the Aymaras, Quechuas, Atacameños, Collas, Diaguitas, Mapuche, Kawashqar, Alacalufe, Yamana, Yagan and Rapa Nui. Shuar in Ecuador
The importance of indigenous peoples in Ecuador is reflected in the recognition of their communities as nationalities. There are 14 in total and at least a million people feel identified with one of these ancestral peoples. The Shuar are located in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
