Seeing a tango show in Buenos Aires is an essential activity and is at the top of most travelers’ list of things to do in Buenos Aires. Along with going to a football match and sightseeing the historical monuments and landmarks of this beautiful city, the world’s home of tango and tango music has a number of tango shows and tango dinner shows on offer for tourists. Taking place at El CAFF, the unsigned entrance can leave you wondering why you have come to what seems like an abandoned backstreet garage. Inside, however, space opens up to reveal an area home to the modern tango and tango music of Buenos Aires. El CAFF is a social and cultural club, founded by the Orquesta Típica Fernández Fierro (OTFF) where spectacular shows, cultural activities, and social gatherings take place. The former mechanic's garage was turned into a music club and opened its doors for the concerts of OTFF and their musical colleagues and friends in May 2004. The main attraction and must-see event are the Fernández Fierro Orchestra. This modern and young orchestra have revolutionized the tango scene and tango music with their powerful live shows, their own raw compositions, and ‘‘new tango’’ 21st Century interpretations of classic tango and contemporary authors songs.
