Buenos Aires is not just tango and football. The options for tours and activities in Buenos Aires go far beyond these two "icons" of Buenos Aires culture. Buenos Aires is a multicultural capital where festivals and events take place every month and at all times of year, so whenever you decide to visit the city, you can be sure that there will be a very interesting cultural agenda at your disposal.
Be sure to save the date! / source[/caption] The Festival includes free activities as well as ones you have to pay for. Tickets will go on sale for the international shows on November 12th and can be purchased online via the Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival website or in person at one of the city’s two outlets: Teatro Predidente Alvear (Av. Corrientes 1659) or Tu Entrada (Av Corrientes 728). Free activities include movies, outdoor concerts in Parque Centenario, shows on the terrace of Recoleta Cultural Centre and on the big stage that has been mounted on the cross section between Av. Libertador and Aguero. In rooms with limited capacity, admission is granted in order of arrival so make sure you keep an eye on the Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival program so as not to miss anything! It is worth noting the dual program on the night of Friday November 22nd, which sees a solo piano performance by pianist, composer and director Dutchman Guus Janssen, followed by the French duo consisting of guitarist Sylvain Luc and pianist Jean-Michel Pilc (who will also be in the "clínicas de instrumento" on Saturday 23rd from 10 am, Sylvain in Café Vinilo, and Jean-Michel at Thelonious Club). For the show during the day of the 22nd, and for the “clínicas de instrumento” on Saturday, tickets can be purchased online or at the retail outlets listed above. Entry to all the films is free. So we recommend that you check out the schedule and make plans accordingly so that you don’t miss a minute of the Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival, which promises to get everyone in the mood to move to the rhythm of Jazz! Welcome to the multicultural city of Buenos Aires!
This month sees the International Jazz Festival take place in Buenos Aires between the 20th and 25th. Over the course of these six days, a varied program featuring local and international artists invites you to experience and enjoy the best of Jazz in Buenos Aires.
