In this light, the festival is hoping, through its many different and original points of view, to promote a critical cinema that may contribute to social change.  This year’s edition revolves around the theme of Identity, where the films presented will try and portray one’s individual search to integrate society as a distinct human being, which would in turn lead to their understanding of its cultural, psychological, social and biological aspects. This theme will be divided into seven categories: the EnvironmentNative CitiesChildhood and YouthMemoryMigrationGender Perspectives, and Panorama. “One’s Identity is like a tree that you water in the past so that it grows into the actions and choices we make in the present.
