How about an independent French film festival in the Argentine capital? That's the idea of My French Film Festival, which begins on 16 January and runs until 16 February. Attention rockers: from 5 to 8 February,  Rock BA festival takes places in la Ciudad Park in Villa Soldati. Illya Kuryaki & The Valderramas, Eruca Sativa, Los Cafres, Los Pericos, La Beriso, and many others will perform live. Remember that the entrance to the event is free! The professional tennis tournament starts on February 23 and runs until March 1st. March

Lollapalooza is back in Argentina this year. On 21 and 22 March, some of the biggest names in music come to the city, including Jack White, Pharrell, Smashing Pumpkins, Interpol, Calvin Harris, Foster the People, Skrillex and more. Classic Rock band KISS comes to Buenos Aires! On April 16, at River Plate Stadium, the group will do a performance to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band. May

May begins with a heavy program: the return of the Monsters of Rock festival 2015. The rock concert at the Teatro Vorterix, will see performances by Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest and Motörhead, and there are rumous of an appearance by Accept or Manowar. If you are in Buenos Aires in June, you need to go in Festival Ciudad Emergente in the Recoleta Cultural Center. Between 17 and 21 June, the festival will bring a cultural avalanche with music, poetry, books, concerts of different musical genres, from hip hop battles to rock, photo exhibitions and visual arts, and film and theatre. July 

It may be mid-year, but the city’s events are still going strong with ArteBA kicking off this month. This celebration of art in Buenos Aires includes several shows, exhibitions and opportunities to buy art. If you are a lover of fine art, don’t miss this cultural high point between 3 and 7 July at La Rural. To come to Buenos Aires in August and not go to the Tango Festival is like going into a football stadium and not seeing the game. The traditional Tango Festival in Buenos Aires will take place between 12 and 25 August throughout the city, visiting different milongas every day and several neighborhoods. Our tip is to check the schedule on the event website and choose where to start. This is one event not to be missed! rock bands are being confirmed for tours to the country of tango. If you thought of System of a Down and Nightwish, then you guessed right! At the moment, the dates are speculated to be 16 and 19 September, respectively. The good thing is that you still have time to save and come head bang with them. Be sure to check the bands’ official websites to confirm the dates. "Have you ever felt curious about someone else's house?" That is the question behind 48H Open House, which once a year opens the doors of buildings and public and private homes to the general public. These are places that do not normally allow public access and that for a weekend can be discovered. This architecture initiative takes place in late October and is a must. La Noche de los Museos (the Night of the Museums) in Buenos Aires provides a night of museum visits, lasting into the early hours of the morning. To encourage local culture and artistic expression, as well as general public awareness, the Buenos Aires government organizes an annual event with numerous museums and cultural centers throughout the city keeping their doors open late. The cultural exchange is amazing and the fusion of art, music, photo exhibitions and film in the same night is sensational. Keep an eye on the event website to check the exact date in November. December

How about attending a gaucho party in the Buenos Aires neighbourhood? Enjoy the country weather and participate in the Fiesta Nacional del Gaucho (National Gaucho Festival). The event includes a great show of Creole skills, Argentine folklore bands and parade riders with old carts. In addition to a plenty of delicious typical foods and numerous choices of crafts and regional products. If you want to get to know the culture of the Pampas, do not miss this event in the first half of December.
