Colombia: The ideal post-pandemic travel destination! While in the northern hemisphere the summer season has already begun, world tourism is projected to fall by almost 80%, with a few million tourists less. This has undoubtedly changed the reality of tourism. This pandemic forces us to rethink all the structures we used to have as established and unchangeable.   [caption id="attachment_17127" align="aligncenter" width="675"]Colombia: The ideal post-pandemic travel destination Tourism is one of the industries that has been most affected in this new "normality". / Photo: Canva Pro[/caption]   A report, based on the latest World Tourism Organization Barometer, warns that in addition to the risk of employment for millions of people, this decline also threatens to undo the armed path towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDAs). However, the best opportunities arise from crises, right? So they say, and I believe it too.  With such a bleak outlook and an uncertain future it might seem crazy, but perhaps this is the gasoline that drove the engines of innovation. A perfect example of this is Colombia. During this isolation, the country has prepared to welcome back travelers from all over the world. In fact, Colombia's current tourism campaign says, "We will meet again soon," providing security and inviting people to come into contact with the country's immense natural and cultural wealth.  Within the framework of all this, Colombia should be your ideal post-pandemic travel destination, for having became the first region to develop tourism biosecurity certification, for all its efforts to comply with the health standards of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main objectives of this certification are to generate trust among travelers and consumers, minimize the risk of infection and encourage the best development of tourism in Colombia.   Daytours4u Tips: don't miss our article on The World in Quarantine: the consequences for tourism.   [caption id="attachment_17125" align="aligncenter" width="675"]Colombia: The ideal post-pandemic travel destination Colombia is the first Latin American country to launch a tourism biosecurity certification to promote travel and minimize the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus / Source[/caption]

We can't wait

In this sense, Colombia has a wonderful offer and should be on everyone's wish list" says Flavia Santoro, president of ProColombia (the government entity in charge of promoting the country as an international tourist destination)   [caption id="attachment_17128" align="aligncenter" width="675"]Colombia: The ideal post-pandemic travel destination "With this certification, we invite businesses in the sector to identify their company's brands with the seal, as well as to follow all biosecurity measures" / Source: Vice Minister of Tourism Julián Guerrero[/caption]     In that sense, we made a list with 5 reasons to choose Colombia as the ideal destination for your first post-pandemic trip.
