Plaza Serrano:

Plaza Armenia:

Also in Palermo, Plaza Armenia has become an alternative for those who find Plaza Serrano a bit too trendy and crowded; The same idea as Plaza Serrano and just a few blocks away, in the hip Palermo Hollywood.

Paseo del Sol:

The perfect place for those tourists who want to find out where the locals go for a drink, before heading out to the clubs. It lies hidden behind Alto Palermo shopping, a great little sunken patio surrounded by bars, pizzerias and snack bars.

Plaza Dorrego:

An alternative to Palermo and a great way to start the night is in the historical neighborhood of San Telmo. Plaza Dorrego is one of the city’s oldest squares, where at the weekend you can visit the antiques market. The surrounding bars spill out into the square at night and if you’re lucky you can catch some live local musicians or tango dancers.

Defensa/Chile:

A great next stop from Plaza Dorrego is the square where the famous statue of the Argentine cartoon character Mafalda sits, on the crossing of the streets Defensa and Chile. There’s a variety of restaurants, coffee shops (especially the Cafés Notables), and bars with tables outside. And if you turn into Chile you’ll discover many more bars, in this part of the neighborhood which is popular with tourists, who are staying in the hostels around San Telmo.
