This walk along the Seven Lakes route Bariloche San Martin de Los Andes is a full day trip in a journey of 352 kilometers. It leaves Bariloche transiting the Nahuel Huapi lake through the main tourist corridor of the area taking you by beautiful wooden paths and irregular roads. Before reaching Villa La Angostura, resting place before continuing the journey, you will find the Arroyo Partido from where you can appreciate a natural yet very uncommon event. The water of this small stream comes from the melting of the Chapelco peak and when encountering a bed of stones it is divided into two very differentiated arms.
The left turns into the Arroyo Culebra that meanders the waters of the river Hermoso until it empties into the Atlantic Ocean and the right, named Pil Pil Baja por el Lago Lácar ending in the Pacific Ocean. After the break-in Villa La Angostura, the tour continues to the seven lakes and their crystal clear waters and varied shades of greens and blues. These lakes are named Espejo, Correntoso, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner, Machónico, and Lácar, and are framed in luxuriant leafy and old forests.
On the shores of the last lake, Lácar, is the village of San Martín de Los Andes. Here you can explore this village, taste its exquisite cuisine, surprise yourself with the beautiful architectural buildings and visit a large number of shops with all kinds of crafts. Then finally we make our way back through the Paso Córdoba touring lakes and small towns.
