This cultural encounter in São Paulo starts with a delicious Brazilian coffee at the Vila Olimpio train station with your guide. From there you’ll go by van to another part of the city to visit a park that bears the name of its creator, Burle Marx, an important Brazilian landscape architect. The project was originally set to be the garden of a house designed by the famous Oscar Niemeyer but was never completed. In 1995, it was converted into a stunning park.
In contrast to this green and luxurious landscape, the next stop on this tour is the second largest building in the city, built by a resident of the Paraisópolis favela. Next, you will see one of the most impressive shopping centres in São Paulo. From there you’ll move on to another part of town to experience the Bahia culture, primarily through its cuisine.
Finally, you’ll visit one of the most emblematic bars in the city, where the menu was created by one of the best chefs in the world, Alex Atala. The neighborhood outside of the bar also boasts some of the city’s new bicycle lanes which you can try out.
