Tour from the Uyuni Salt Flat to the Atacama Desert
In this package we offer you, you will start in Salta, and you will go up the mountain range to the bordering countries mentioned above. In 9 days you will visit the North of Argentina (Salta and Jujuy) and the road to the lagoons of the Atacama plateau.
Day 1 Airport - Salta City
We will meet you at the airport in Salta and transfer you to your accommodation. The rest of the day will be free for you to explore the surroundings of this typical northern city.

Day 2 Salta - Humahuaca
The excursion goes from Salta to Jujuy and starts early in the morning. On this day we will visit some of the most emblematic sites of the Argentine Northwest: León, Tumbaya, Purmamarca, The Hill of the Seven Colors.
You will also go to Tilcara, where you will hike through the ruins and visit the Uquía Archaeological Museum, with its ancient church.
In Humahuaca you will visit the handicrafts fair and the monument to Belgrano. It is here, in Humahuaca, where the excursion ends.

Day 3 La Quiaca - Villazón - Uyuni
During the third day, we will travel by regular bus to the city of La Quiaca. This is the last town in Jujuy before Bolivia. After crossing the border crossing, you will arrive in Villazón and the guide will take you to the Villazón train station to take the train to Uyuni, where you will arrive in the evening and stay overnight.

Day 4 Uyuni Salt Flat
The tour leaves Uyuni in the morning in a 4x4 vehicle to Colchani, a small town where the exploitation and refining of salt takes place.
You will enter the Salar by hiking through the salt piles and watch a demonstration of the extraction of salt blocks.
You will visit the handicraft stores, the salt hotels and Incahuasi Island, where you will see huge cactus and have a splendid panoramic view from the lookout point.
On the island, you will have a snack and then hike and continue to Chuvica, where you will spend the night in a basic shelter.

Day 5 Salar de Uyuni - Altiplanic Lagoons of Bolivia
The Bolivia tour to the Salar de Uyuni and the Altiplanic Lagoons, departing after breakfast to visit the lagoons of Bolivia: Cañapa, Hedionda and Ramadita, continuing through the desert of Siloli, to see the stone tree. You will visit the Laguna Colorada, where there are pink flamingos and Andean fauna of great importance, such as the vicuña and the suri or Andean rhea. Here you will spend the night in a basic shelter.

Day 6 Altiplanic Lagoons - San Pedro de Atacama
The tour leaves very early in the morning to appreciate the Geysers (volcanic fumaroles) and visit the hot springs. During the tour, you will be able to see strange rock formations caused by erosion.
You will arrive at Laguna Verde, which is characterized by changing color between 11:00 and 12:00 am. You will be amazed by the impressive view of the Licancabur Volcano and the Cajones border landmark, the boundary between Bolivia and Chile.
The tour continues to San Pedro de Atacama, where you will arrive after noon. You will have the rest of the afternoon free to rest and explore the town of San Pedro.

Day 7 Atacama Salt Flat and Altiplanic Lagoons of Chile
In the morning you will make the first excursion of the day to the Atacama Salt Flat, Toconao and Altiplanic Lagoons.
In the Chaxa Lagoon (inside the Salar) you will see flamingos and migratory birds.
The tour continues towards the Altiplanic Lagoons Miscanti and Meñiques, formed by the eruption of the Meñiques volcano 1 million years ago. There you will see a variety of fauna and flora.
On the way back to San Pedro, you will make one of the last stops in the town of Socaire, where you will have lunch and visit some churches. You will also visit the town of Toconao before finally arriving in San Pedro.

Day 8 Geysers del Tatio - Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley)
Early in the morning, the last excursion in Chile begins: Geysers of Tatio and Machuca village.
You will travel for 2 hours to reach the geothermal field, located at 4320 m.a.s.l., where the temperature is approximately -15º C (below zero). Here you will hike among the Geysers in full activity and have breakfast. Then there will be a stop at the swimming pool, with temperatures between 25º C and 30 °C.
The trip continues through the Bofedal of Putana, where you will see different migratory birds before arriving at Machuca, a small and picturesque village.
On the way back to San Pedro you will see a forest of millinery cactus. Arrival in San Pedro is at noon.
At sunset, you can visit the Valley of the Moon, (located 17 km from San Pedro) whose name is due to its extraordinary resemblance to the lunar surface. From a large dune, you will be able to appreciate the surroundings of this magnificent area.

Day 9 San Pedro de Atacama - Salta
Early in the morning, it is time to say goodbye to San Pedro de Atacama. You will cross by regular bus the Andes Mountains to get to Salta through a journey through the Jama Pass.

Day 10 Salta - Salta Airport
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport or bus terminal in Salta. This is where the Discover Uyuni and Atacama tour ends.
