Itinerary
It is no secret to anyone that the Colombian coffee is considered by many to be the best in the world. Discover what makes it so special with this Coffee Culture Tour in Recuca Park, where you can assume the role of a coffee grower, from seed to cup. Go ahead and become a coffee grower for a day, savor the countryside and have great fun in these amazing mountains.
"Recuca" is located in the village of Callelarga, municipality of Calarcá, Quindío. Also known as "The Tour of the Coffee Culture", it is a traditional coffee farm where the natives of the region will teach you typical work of the coffee culture. The first thing you will do on this walk will be to taste a water-based brown sugar drink called "Jaqueta". Then, in the middle of the tour, you will taste the "Bogadera", which consists of panela water with lemon and cinnamon. After that, you will be able to use typical dresses of muleteers or chapoleras to travel for 30 minutes along the Coffee Trail, where you will learn how to grow coffee.
You will participate in a simulation of the harvest of the grain and you will discover the secrets of pulping, drying, threshing, roasting and grinding in the most traditional way of the growers of the region. To finish the Rite of the Coffee, you will learn to prepare this delicious and popular infusion and taste a cup of export coffee. Book online and live an experience in agrotourism!
