Description
Bariloche is a destination full of winter activities to do alone or in the company of a couple, friends or family. One of the recommended activities is to enjoy a walk to the Enchanted Extreme Shelter. This fun trip includes 4x4 ascents and a snowshoe walk in a lenga forest on Cerro López.
The adventure begins when you will be picked up at the hotel in downtown Bariloche and up to Km 8 and in the transfer to the base of Cerro Lopez, you travel about 30 km through the Circuito Chico. Once you have reached the base of the hill, the 4x4 jeeps will take you to the Enchanted Extreme Refuge, located at 1260 meters above sea level. During the crossing and while you are gaining height above sea level, the road will surprise you at every moment with unbeatable views from one of the most beautiful forests in Patagonia.
Then the guide will offer an informative and safety talk and will place the rackets to begin the journey. It is necessary that you wear boots or ski boots and snow pants in addition to a good coat. Once ready, you will be able to enjoy the landscapes that surprise at every step because each grove opens as a backdrop to show different scenarios, one more surprising than the other, always with the majestic Lake Nahuel Huapi in the background. In addition, the expert guide will tell the history of the place and the different species of flora and fauna. The level of exigency is easy, and can be done both in family and with older people. After almost an hour of trekking, you will arrive at a viewpoint where you will be able to rest accompanied by a hot chocolate or a glass of cognac. After this stop, you will return to the refuge where the refugieros and the chef will be waiting for you with lunch that includes a starter, main course, and dessert. At the end of the meal you will return to the 4x4 vehicles to return to the base, where the transfers will be waiting to take you to the hotel in the center of the city.
