1 Night in the Amazon Rainforest

Day 1: Welcome to the Jungle

At 8:30 a.m. we will pick you up at your hotel. At 9:00 a.m.

9:00 a.m. we will leave the port of Manaus by boat (regular transportation, approx. 30 min) and cross the Negro River to the village of Cacau Pirera. 

We will travel by car (approx. 50 min) to the village of Paricatuba. From here, you will travel by motorized canoe to the Lodge (located approximately 85 km from Manaus).

At 12:00 noon we will arrive at the Lodge for lunch.

After lunch, with our bilingual guide, you will take a canoe trip through small streams and go piranha fishing .

In the evening you will go on a nocturnal expedition to see caimans and other wild animals that are hidden during the day, then you will have dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: We will tour the Amazon Rainforest before returning to the lodge.

In the morning, after breakfast, we will have a two and a half hour educational jungle walk. On this tour you will be taught about the medicinal properties of plants and trees of the Amazon rainforest. 

• The high altitude means different plant life, larger trees and dense forest.

In the afternoon you will have lunch and then free time to swim in the tea-colored waters of the Black River. 

Prepare to travel back to Manaus, arriving around 5:00 pm.
